Hodeidah: The Women's Authority in Al-Hodeidah Governorate launched a series of events and activities on Friday to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday in the city square, under the slogan 'At Your Service, O Messenger of Allah.'
According to Yemen News Agency, during the opening ceremony at Ammar School's square, speakers emphasized that the Mawlid represents a renewed spiritual milestone to reinforce the Prophet's values, consolidate ethics and unity in facing the challenges confronting the nation. They highlighted that celebrating this occasion reflects Yemenis' steadfast adherence to the Messenger of Allah, his family, and his righteous path.
The speakers noted that this year's Mawlid comes at a time when the nation is experiencing exceptional circumstances, including the ongoing tragedy in Gaza and the crimes and blockade faced by the Palestinian people, amid silence and inaction by official Arab and Islamic authorities.
They stressed that the weakness and division affecting the nation can only be overcome by a sincere return to the Qur'an and the Prophet's Sunnah, drawing inspiration from his exemplary life, including lessons of sacrifice and jihad. They described supporting Palestine as a religious, ethical, and humanitarian duty.
The speakers further pointed out that the nation's struggle against forces of aggression is not solely a military confrontation but also a battle of awareness, steadfastness in principles, and readiness to sacrifice for the central causes of the Ummah, such as the Palestinian cause.
They emphasized that the events in Gaza reveal the extent of the conspiracy targeting the Ummah and its identity, and that celebrating the Mawlid is an affirmation of allegiance to the path of resistance and a renewal of commitment to follow the Prophet in confronting tyrants and supporting the oppressed.
The speakers called for increased popular and official efforts to support Palestinian steadfastness, including through political, economic, and field measures, given the aggression and escalations by the Israeli occupation.
They urged the women of Al-Hodeidah and all segments of society to actively participate in the Mawlid events and activities, reflecting Yemenis' strong connection to the Prophet, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The speakers concluded that the path of jihad and resistance is the most effective way to confront invaders and occupiers, asserting that free peoples can shift the balance of power when they uphold their rights and rely on their faith and determination.
