Honoring Champions of 10th Summer Camp at Al-Wahda Club in Sana’a

Sana'a: Minister of Finance Abdul Jabbar Mohammed and Secretary-General of the Local Council of Sana'a City and President of Al-Wahda Club in Sana'a, Amin Jumaan, honored the champions of the 10th Summer Camp organized by Al-Wahda Club today in Sana'a. The camp concluded its activities with wide participation from various age groups and governorates.

According to Yemen News Agency, at the closing ceremony, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the Sports Sector, Ali Hadban, the Minister of Finance praised the camp's significant organizational and technical success. He emphasized that Al-Wahda Club in Sana'a represents a shining example in nurturing young people, developing their talents, and providing national sports with new and promising talent amidst the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing.

He noted that the continued organization of this camp for the tenth consecutive year embodies the determination and commitment to providing a fertile environment for cultivating the stars of tomorrow in Yemeni sports.

For his part, Abdullah Ubaid, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in Sana'a City, commended the institutional and leadership role of Al-Wahda Club's management in embracing and harnessing the energies of young people and guiding them in the best possible direction. The final competitions of the tournament resulted in the following:

Governorate Championship:

Ages 7-8: Sa'dah Governorate took first place, and Socotra Governorate came in second.

Ages 9-10:

Group 1: Shabwa Governorate took first place, and Al-Bayda Governorate came in second.

Group 2: Taiz Governorate took first place, and Aden Governorate came in second.

Ages 11-12: Ahmed Al-Shabibi's team won first place, and Ali Al-Ashwal's team came in second.

Ages 13-14: Fouad Anqad's team won first place, and Jamal Khourbi's team came in second.

Ages 15-16: Tariq Al-Sayed's team took first place, and Abdullah Muzaffar's team came in second.

Ages 17-18: Mohammed Al-Matari's team won first place, and Mohammed Najad's team came in second.

Cups, medals, and encouragement prizes were distributed to the champions and outstanding players in the various categories and activities. The awards ceremony was attended by a number of officials, sports and community figures, and a large crowd of club fans and sports enthusiasts.
