Dhamar: The Imam al-Hadi School for the Generation of the Holy Qur'an in the city of al-Sharq, Jabal al-Sharq District, Dhamar Governorate, held a ceremony on Monday honoring Qur'an memorizers. The event was attended by the head of al-Sharq Police Department, Lieutenant Colonel Ali al-Amadi. Ahmad al-Maabri, head of public mobilization in the district, congratulated the teachers and students on their success in becoming a 'generation of the Qur'an,' both as learners and educators. He praised the efforts made in teaching and learning the Holy Book, describing the honoring as a moral gesture and a reminder to hold fast to the rope of God, urging parents to enroll their children in Qur'an schools.
According to Yemen News Agency, Ali Shareek, head of the educational sector, stressed the pivotal role of these Qur'an schools in raising a generation guided by the values of the Qur'an, protected from misleading ideas and cultural infiltration. School director Jamal Jabhan highlighted the efforts to graduate groups of Qur'an memorizers, while also developing their skills and talents in various fields.
The honorees, in their address, expressed gratitude to the school administration and teachers. The ceremony featured poetry, nasheeds, and theatrical performances, culminating in the distribution of certificates and prizes to the Qur'an memorizers.
