According to Yemen News Agency, the events of April 4 over several years have seen repeated aggression in various regions of Yemen. On April 4, 2015, an airstrike on a residence in the Al Qarad area of the Baqim District, Saada Governorate, led to the death of a woman and injuries to four others. Concurrent artillery shelling compounded the devastation. A year later, in 2016, airstrikes targeted an IDP camp in Al-Murour, Hajjah Governorate, killing six children and a woman.
Further incidents on April 4, 2016, involved airstrikes that martyred a citizen in the Bani Saad area, and extensive damage was reported in Saada, Marib, Al-Jawf, and Lahj Governorates due to continued aggression. The following year in 2017, a passenger vehicle was hit in Al-Matammah District, resulting in two deaths and injuries to a woman. Significant airstrikes continued in various districts, causing widespread destruction to property and farms.
April 4, 2018, saw airstrikes on farms and markets in Al-Hodeida and Saada Governorates, resulting in casualties and property damage. Meanwhile, in 2019, aggression mercenaries targeted homes and educational facilities in Al-Hodeida, while missile and artillery shelling damaged villages in Saada.
On April 4, 2020, a family in Razih District, Saada Governorate, was martyred due to missile shelling. Further airstrikes and shelling that year caused injuries and property damage in Al-Dhalea and Marib. The following year in 2021, similar violence resulted in more casualties and destruction in Saada, Hajjah, and Marib Governorates.
In 2022, reconnaissance and Apache aircraft launched multiple airstrikes on civilian homes across several governorates, while mercenaries' artillery shelling caused additional damage. On April 4, 2023, Saudi fire resulted in casualties in Saada, and a woman was injured by a sniper bullet in Taiz Governorate.
These repeated acts of aggression underscore the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Yemen, with civilians bearing the brunt of the violence.
