Hosting and Honoring Orphans Program Held in Al Mahwit to Mark Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

Al mahwit: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance today implemented the fifth phase of its 1448 AH program to host and honor orphans in Al Mahwit Governorate, marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Al Mahwit Governor Hanin Qutina and General Authority for Endowments Chairman Allama Abdul Majeed Al-Houthi honored students at the orphanage in the governorate center and provided them with financial assistance. In the presence of the governorate's Court of Appeal President Judge Akram Al-Alfi, Qutina stated that the humanitarian initiative helps bring joy to orphans and strengthens the care provided to them.

He noted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is an opportunity to recall the values embodied by the Prophet, foremost among them compassion, benevolence, and care for the vulnerable. Qutina emphasized that the local authority gives special attention to orphans and supports programs aimed at improving their living conditions, encouraging them to continue their education and build a better future.

For his part, Allama Al-Houthi highlighted that caring for orphans is both a religious and humanitarian responsibility, stressing that Islam encourages kindness toward them, their guardianship, and protection of their rights. He added that caring for orphans requires concerted efforts by official, community, and charitable organizations to provide an environment conducive to their stability and success, affirming the Authority's continued implementation of programs aimed at strengthening social solidarity.
