House of Representatives Denounces Zionist Attacks on Damascus Homes.

Damascus: The House of Representatives, during a session led by Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, has condemned the recent Zionist attacks on Damascus, which specifically targeted civilian headquarters and residential homes. The session was marked by a moment of mourning and a firm stance against what was described as a violation of Arab sovereignty and international law.

According to Yemen News Agency, the President and members of the Council expressed condolences for the martyrs who lost their lives in the aggression against Damascus. They labeled the incident as a crime and praised the resistance’s defensive operations against the Israeli occupation. The Council also took a moment to honor Dr. Abdul Bari Abdullah Dughaish, acknowledging his national contributions and recognizing his passing as a significant loss for Yemen.

The session further highlighted the widespread support in Sana’a and other governorates, where masses demonstrated solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples. The Council unanimousl
y voted to retain the current presidency and emphasized the need for unified efforts to confront prevailing challenges.

Members of the Council underscored the importance of enhancing the Council’s role to better serve citizens, aligning with the requirements of the ongoing construction and change phase amidst aggression and siege. The Council also reviewed and approved its agenda for the forthcoming period, ensuring continuity in its legislative duties.
