Hufash: The Prophet's Birthday Football Cup tournament, organized by the district's Youth and Sports Office, kicked off on Monday in Hufash district of Al-Mahwit governorate, in celebration of the Prophet's birthday. At the opening ceremony, the district director, Amin al-Qal'aba, emphasized the commitment to supporting sports and youth activities, providing necessary care for young people, and developing their talents and abilities.
According to Yemen News Agency, holding such sporting events coinciding with the Prophet's birthday contributes to strengthening loyalty to the Prophet and channeling the energies of young people into activities that benefit the community. For his part, the director of the district's Youth and Sports Office, Alaa al-Din al-Hajar, explained that the tournament is part of sports and youth activities aimed at discovering and developing athletic talent among young people and students, fostering a spirit of competition and cooperation, and investing young people's time and energy in meaningful activities.
He noted that the tournament, organized in coordination with the local authority and the district's public mobilization efforts, includes competitions between six teams representing several sub-districts of Hufash, as part of the events commemorating the Prophet's birthday. The opening match featured a contest between the teams of Sahman Bani Ghamr and Bani Dahman, which ended in a draw.
