Sanhan:The National Commission for Human Rights has strongly condemned a recent attack by Saudi aggression aircraft targeting a citizen's farm in the Beit Al-Shatibi area of Sanhan District, Sanaa Governorate. This assault resulted in the death of a woman and the loss of several sheep.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Commission issued a statement on Monday declaring that targeting women on their farms amounts to a war crime and violates international and humanitarian laws. The attack is seen as an expression of malice towards Yemeni women, who are viewed as symbols of resilience and generosity.
The Commission emphasized that the bombing of farms, which leads to starvation and the killing of livestock, is part of a systematic strategy of economic extermination designed to undermine Yemeni food security. Such acts are criminalized under international humanitarian law, which prohibits attacks on civilian objects and livelihoods.
The statement also highlighted that this incident occurred shortly after another attack in the Beit Al-Luhaydah area, suggesting a deliberate escalation of violence against civilians by the aggressors following military setbacks.
The Human Rights Commission held the coalition of aggressors fully accountable for these actions and called on the international community and the United Nations to take responsibility and condemn these crimes and those responsible for them.
