Ibb City Center Initiates Campaign to Tackle Violations and Random Structures

Sana’a: Deputy Governor of Ibb Harith al-Maliki launched a campaign to remove violations and random structures in the old central market, implemented by the Cleaning and Improvement Fund with official and community participation. The campaign involves the Public Works Office, Security, and Traffic Departments, focusing on regulating street vendors, clearing waste, and preventing the occupation of sidewalks to ease congestion and enhance the city’s appearance. Al-Maliki highlighted the importance of community cooperation in maintaining cleanliness and supporting authorities in removing irregularities.



According to Yemen News Agency, Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, Adel Omar, stated that the two-day campaign will include cleaning streets and markets, supported by awareness activities promoting environmental preservation. He noted that 65 tons of waste were removed on the first day and commended the efforts of cleaning workers and community cooperation in keeping Ibb clean and healthy.
