Sana'a: A community initiative was launched on Thursday in Ibb city to fill potholes with concrete slabs along several streets and public roads, implemented by the al-Khasha'i Foundation for Ready-Made Concrete in coordination with the governorate's Public Works Office. The initiative seeks to address deteriorating road conditions by filling potholes, thereby easing citizens' suffering, ensuring the safety of vehicles and pedestrians, and enhancing the city's appearance. Officials stressed that such efforts are essential for preserving public infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, Engineer Aba Dhar al-Ghashem, Director of Facilities at the Public Works Office, highlighted that the initiative responds to the pressing need to improve Ibb's internal road network. He said the cooperation between the office, community initiatives, and the private sector reflects a spirit of solidarity in serving citizens.
For his part, Farouk al-Khasha'i, the initiative's representative, noted that the effort stems from the foundation's social responsibility and commitment to alleviating citizens' daily hardships while contributing to better road conditions in the city.
