Ibb Dialysis Center Receives Revolutionary Dialysis Unit

Gaza: The Dialysis Center at the Public Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Ibb city received a new, state-of-the-art dialysis unit, donated by philanthropist Abdu Mohammed Al-Hubaishi.

According to Yemen News Agency, the delivery of the unit is the result of continuous and dedicated efforts by Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah, who gave the matter special attention to overcome obstacles and ensure the arrival and installation of the vital facility, contributing to the modernization of the center.

During the handover, Governor Salah described the receipt of the modern dialysis unit as a significant achievement for the health sector in the governorate, reflecting the local authority's commitment to alleviating the suffering of kidney failure patients. He noted that the vital project came in response to an urgent humanitarian need that had remained a top priority in recent months.

Governor Salah explained that the efforts exerted by the governorate's leadership helped overcome various challenges that had hindered the unit's delivery. He added that the new unit will be installed immediately to replace the previous one, which had exceeded its operational lifespan and experienced repeated breakdowns. This will ensure the continuity of medical services and help save the lives of hundreds of patients who rely on the center daily.

He praised the initiative of philanthropist Abdu Al-Hubaishi in donating the dialysis unit, describing it as a commendable example of cooperation between official authorities and the community in supporting the health sector. For his part, the head of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority, Dr. Abdulghani Ghabsha, commended the governor's role in closely following up on the vital project until the unit arrived at the center.

Dr. Ghabsha affirmed that this step reflects the governorate leadership's commitment to supporting essential health facilities and strengthening their capacity to meet patients' needs. He added that the previous unit had completely exceeded its operational lifespan and deteriorated significantly, while the new replacement features modern technical specifications and the largest operational capacity in the country, which will contribute to sustaining medical services and improving the quality of healthcare provided to kidney failure patients.
