Ibb: The Governor of Ibb, Abdul Wahid Salah, inaugurated several service projects in the districts of Yarim and Nadra. The projects include the Al-Khair Mosque in the village of Dakhla Al-Masalma, Kitab district in Yarim, constructed at a cost of 200 million riyals, funded by a philanthropist. The mosque features separate chapels for men and women, restrooms, and a Qur’an memorization school. Governor Salah expressed gratitude for the benefactor’s support, highlighting the mosque’s importance to the local community.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah also inaugurated the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in Hazib district, Al-Nadir district, at a cost of 50 million riyals, funded by philanthropists. Additionally, a solar energy project for water pumping in the Green Al-Qarda area, Al-Nadirah district, was launched, costing $80,000 and supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). This project aims to benefit over 25,000 residents in Al-Nadirah and surrounding villages.
Furthermore, Governor Salah opened a pedestrian bridge in Wadi Bana, connecting the isolated areas of Al Muftah and Huraib. This project, funded by a local resident, cost 50 million riyals. During the inaugurations, Governor Salah expressed his appreciation to the philanthropists who have supported these essential projects, urging businessmen and affluent individuals to contribute to the welfare of the community, especially during the holy month.
Abdul Jalil Al-Shami, director of Al-Nadirah district, lauded the philanthropists’ contributions, noting that the district has witnessed over 197 community initiative projects in the last three years.
