Sana'a: Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah inspected the progress of the turf project at Al-Shaheed Al-Kubsi Stadium in Ibb city. The project is being managed by the Executive Unit for Road Maintenance and funded by the local council of the governorate with an allocation of 62 million and 386 thousand Yemeni riyals, supplemented by 50 million riyals from the Youth and Children Fund. Businessman Abdo Mungadha has also contributed by providing the turf for the stadium.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah was briefed by Engineer Khalid Al-Salahi, the Director of the Executive Unit for Road Maintenance, about the ongoing work. The project is currently at 40 percent completion, which includes ground leveling, pitch preparation, and the establishment of necessary infrastructure for the turf installation.
Governor Salah remarked that the Al-Shaheed Al-Kubsi Stadium turf project is a crucial step towards improving the sports infrastructure within the governorate. This initiative aims to provide youth and athletes with a suitable and safe environment for their activities, thereby aiding in the development of sporting talents and refining the skills of young people.
He reiterated the leadership's dedication to supporting sports and youth projects, ensuring that they are completed according to technical specifications and within designated timelines. He highlighted the project's role in promoting sports activities and encouraging youth participation across the governorate.
Governor Salah also called for increased efforts and adherence to quality standards during the project's implementation to guarantee its successful completion. This project is expected to be a valuable addition to Ibb's sports facilities, satisfying the expectations of the governorate's youth and athletes.
Engineer Al-Salahi noted that the work on the Al-Shaheed Al-Kubsi Stadium turf project is advancing rapidly according to the planned schedule. Technical teams are currently finalizing the turf installation to ensure that the project aligns with the approved technical specifications.
