Ibb Governor Reviews Flood Damage and Directs Immediate Response

Sana'a: Ibb governor, Abdul Wahid Salah, reviewed the damage caused by torrential rains in the areas of Al-Ma'ayin, Al-Rashid, and 16th Street in the province center. Governor Salah heard from specialists in the concerned authorities and citizens about the damage caused by the torrential rains to public and private property.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah directed the works offices, the executive unit of roads, the cleanliness fund, and the emergency committee to swiftly address the situation. Measures include cleaning the ferries and streams and implementing precautions to protect citizens and their property, especially with the early start of the rainy season this year.

He also instructed the office of the Public Authority for Zakat to provide aid and assistance to those affected by the floods, ensuring their needs are met promptly. Additionally, Governor Salah urged citizens to exercise caution and avoid areas prone to flooding during and after the rains, as heavy rainfall is expected to continue in the coming period.
