Sana'a: Officials in Ibb province inspected on Sunday progress on al-Kebsi Stadium's turf project and ongoing maintenance at Ibb Sports Stadium ahead of upcoming league matches. Governor Abdulwahid Salah and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabih Ali reviewed work on al-Kebsi Stadium turfing project, which has reached 40% completion, including groundwork and infrastructure equipment. They stressed the need to expand the remaining works, including facilities and stands, according to technical standards.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is funded by local authorities, the Youth and Sports Fund, and a private contribution for turf supply. Officials highlighted its importance in improving sports infrastructure and supporting youth.
They also inspected maintenance at Ibb Stadium, which is being prepared to host first-division football matches, including games involving Ittihad Ibb, with emphasis on readiness and quality standards.
