Ibb Local Secretary Inspects Progress on Road Projects in Al-Mashneh District

Ibb: The Secretary General of the Local Council in Ibb Province, Amin Al-Warafi, conducted an inspection on Saturday to assess the progress of several road projects underway in Al-Mashneh District.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Warafi reviewed the ongoing rehabilitation and paving of Naqil Baadan Road, which is in its second phase. The road spans 763 meters in length and 8.5 meters in width, with an estimated budget of 148 million and 400 thousand riyals. The project has reached a 50 percent completion rate and is being jointly funded by the Department of Community Initiatives in the province and the Emergency Development Interventions Unit.

In addition, Al-Warafi assessed the rehabilitation project on Thirty Street and Jabla, which is currently 60 percent complete, supported by a budget of 330 million riyals from the Executive Unit for Construction and Road Maintenance. He also inspected the rehabilitation of Jawazat Street, which connects Ibb and Al-Dhale’. This project involves a 400-meter-long and 10-meter-wide stretch, costing 76 million riyals, and has achieved a 65 percent completion rate, funded by the Executive Unit for Road Maintenance.

Al-Warafi expressed approval of the progress on these critical projects, emphasizing their significance in addressing the streets most in need of maintenance. He highlighted the importance of ongoing evaluation and follow-up throughout the implementation process to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards as per international benchmarks, while also considering the designated timeline for project completion.
