Sana'a: A meeting held in Ibb governorate, chaired by governorate undersecretary for Tourism Harith al-Mulaiki, focused on the implementation of an environmental and health awareness campaign targeting tourism facilities in anticipation of the Eid al-Adha tourist season. The gathering included tourism and health officials who discussed a comprehensive plan for inspecting hotels, parks, and restaurants across the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, committees composed of relevant authorities have been approved to execute the campaign, which is set to begin before the Eid al-Adha holiday. Al-Mulaiki stressed the necessity of improving tourism facilities, evaluating service quality, ensuring public hygiene, and implementing safety measures. He underscored the campaign's significance in enhancing hotel services and the overall performance of targeted facilities.
Tourism Sector Official Ghanem Awsaj elaborated that the campaign aims to regulate tourism facilities, elevate service quality, and enforce tourism and health requirements in accordance with the law. He highlighted the need for standardized oversight and the engagement of relevant authorities to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
The Director of the Environmental Health Department mentioned that the campaign will feature awareness programs focused on health standards and regulations, with the goal of enhancing the operational performance of tourism establishments.
