Sana'a: A three-day training workshop for facilitators of agricultural field schools concluded on Tuesday in Ibb governorate, organized by the Office of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources in partnership with the General Administration of Agricultural Extension and Training. The workshop was aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of individuals involved in agricultural education and support.

According to Yemen News Agency, the course was funded by the Executive Unit for Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives. It focused on building the capacities of 62 agricultural extension officers, cooperative association facilitators, and local agriculture branch directors from several districts. This initiative is part of a broader agricultural expansion project.

Officials highlighted that the program aligns with national directives to boost agriculture, strengthen community participation, and achieve self-sufficiency. The workshop introduced participants to the participatory and practical methodologies of field schools, which are essential for modern agricultural practices.

Trainers emphasized that participants gained valuable skills in analyzing agricultural ecosystems, developing participatory livestock techniques, and addressing farming challenges. These trained facilitators are set to begin their fieldwork in the targeted districts next week, focusing on enhancing farmers' practical knowledge in crop and livestock production.
