Sana'a: Member of the Shura Council Mansour Ahmed Saddam and First Undersecretary of Taiz Governorate Mohammed Al-Khalidi inaugurated the new academic year 1448 AH at Al-Shahid Al-Sammad Complex in Al-Taiziyah District. The ceremony marked the commencement of the school year, signaling a fresh start for educational activities in the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was further highlighted by the participation of several key officials, including Undersecretary for Development Affairs Abdulwasea Al-Shamsi and the Director of the Governor's Office (Acting Governor) Faiz Al-Moshki. They, along with other dignitaries, launched the new school year at various educational institutions including Al-Shahid Abduljabbar Al-Qublaani School and Al-Abbas School in Al-Taiziyah District. Governorate's Education Sector official Mohammed Al-Dhibani reported that around 500,000 students have enrolled across 850 schools in the governorate, reflecting a substantial student turnout on the first day.
The inauguration witnessed the presence of the Director of Education in Al-Taiziyah District Tawfiq Al-Soufi and Media Officer Ahmed Al-Hudhaifi. Additionally, Undersecretary Mohammed Al-Husseini, along with other district directors, initiated the academic year in several schools in Khadeer and Maqbanah Districts. This coordinated effort underscores the commitment to enhancing education throughout the region.
Undersecretary Mohammed Al-Humairi also took part in this significant occasion by launching the academic year at Al-Shahid Amin Al-Humairi Complex in Shar'ab Ar-Rawnah District. Concurrently, Director of Salah District Mohammed Mohsen and the district education director Sadiq Al-Da'is inaugurated the school year at notable schools such as 30 November School and Modern Education School.
Officials at the inaugurations commended the impressive student turnout and the dedication of educators, emphasizing the importance of education as a critical component of development. They conveyed hopes for substantial improvements in educational outcomes this year, urging students to remain committed to their studies. They also called on parents to actively support their children's education to ensure a successful academic year.
