Taiz: Deputy Governor for Development Affairs, Abdulwasie Al-Shamsi, alongside the Director of the Agriculture Sector in the governorate, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, inaugurated an Agricultural Services Center at the Mawiyah Cooperative Agricultural Association.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by key figures including Hassan Al-Rashdi, Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Project and Initiative Financing Unit, Abdul-Salam Hashem, Director of Mawiyah District, Badr Al-Din Al-Tayyar, representative of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in Taiz and Lahj governorates, and Amer Al-Ahdal, Executive Director of the Agricultural Cooperative Union.
Al-Shamsi emphasized the commitment to providing agricultural services to farmers, highlighting the center's role in supplying necessary resources and guidance. He viewed the opening as a significant step toward enhancing the agricultural sector in the governorate, underscoring the need for launching agricultural projects and development programs.
Al-Jundi remarked that the center's inauguration is part of ongoing agricultural activities in the governorate, aimed at serving citizens and farmers by offering essential agricultural requirements along with advisory and awareness services.
Al-Rashdi detailed that the center was funded by an 'Al-Qard Al-Abyad' loan to the Mawiyah Multipurpose Association, costing a total of six million riyals. It will provide services such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment support to the agricultural community.
