Amran: First Deputy Governor of Amran, Abdulaziz Abu Kharfasha, President of Amran University, Dr. Mohammed al-Dhali'i, and Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Engineer Samir al-Hanani, inaugurated the laboratories and research facilities of the College of Agriculture at the university.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration was marked by a tour where the officials were briefed by the laboratory staff on the equipment and devices available for advancing agricultural research at the college. The initiative was funded by the Emergency Interventions Unit at a cost of 32 million Yemeni riyals. The officials commended the efforts of the Amran Governorate leadership and the university administration for their focus on the agricultural sector, which holds significant economic importance. They urged the students of the College of Agriculture to leverage the modern technologies available to enhance their research capabilities.
Additionally, the officials reiterated the commitment of the Ministry of Agriculture and the local authority to support students, faculty, and the college's infrastructure. They emphasized the vital role of agricultural development in the national economy.
The visit also included an inspection of the university's agricultural reserves, which received support from the Emergency Interventions Unit amounting to 13 million Yemeni riyals. The reserve staff provided insights into the production processes and the significance of these reserves in bolstering the national economy. They also highlighted how these reserves contribute to providing students with essential practical field experience.
