Sa’ada: Sa’ada Governor, Mohammed Jaber Awad, inaugurated the construction of five classrooms at the Higher Institute of Health Sciences in the province, with the presence of Deputy Governor for Works Affairs, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Nimri. The project is aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure at the institute.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration was also attended by the Director of the Health and Environment Office in the province, Dr. Yahya Shayem, and the Dean of the Health Institute, Dr. Zakaria Al-Hadi. They inspected the equipment, facilities, and the progress of the new educational classrooms project. This initiative is being implemented by the executive unit responsible for the construction and maintenance of roads and public places in the province.
The project, costing 34 million riyals, is funded by the local authority and the Central Emergency Intervention Unit. It was executed following appropriate engineering standards to ensure sustainability and quality. Governor Awad highlighted that these new classrooms will alleviate overcrowding issues, benefiting over 1,200 students who require a conducive educational environment. He emphasized the local authority’s plans to further expand the institute, incorporating solar energy and additional facilities.
Dr. Shayem, Director of the Health Office, stated that the project will bolster the health sector’s role in the province and commended the provincial leadership’s focus on health education. He acknowledged the contributions of the Executive Unit of Roads, the Central Intervention Unit of the Ministry of Administration, Local and Rural Development, and the Institute’s deanship in supporting the project’s implementation.
