Bayda: The Undersecretary of Al Bayda Governorate, Saleh Al Mansouri, inaugurated a comprehensive community cleaning campaign today, aimed at welcoming the month of Ramadan with the slogan “Cleanliness is a religious commitment and civilized behavior.”
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign is being implemented by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the governorate, with active community participation. Its primary goal is to remove waste and dust from neighborhoods and streets in Al Bayda city and other major cities within the governorate. Al Mansouri emphasized the significance of the campaign in preparing both a psychological and spiritual atmosphere for Ramadan, highlighting the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness as a religious and civilized duty to be practiced daily.
Al Mansouri also underscored the necessity of raising community awareness about the importance of cleanliness and reducing practices that impede waste removal efforts. He commended the involvement of citizens and the contributions of various sectors, including cleaning offices, the transportation and works sector, the traffic department, and community initiative volunteers, in executing the campaign.
During the inauguration, attended by Al Bayda City Director Ahmed Al Rasas, the Director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, Abdul Hafeez Al Maghribi, elaborated on the cleanliness strategy. He detailed the distribution of workers and equipment required for the campaign in the cities of Al Bayda and Rada’a. The campaign involves 152 cleaners, 16 machines and equipment, and 19 small transport motors, supplemented by community initiatives.
Al Maghribi urged citizens, shop owners, and commercial markets to collaborate in ensuring the campaign’s success, thereby creating a welcoming environment for the holy month.
