Inauguration of Health Center Construction in Rural Hajjah

Khawlan: A health center construction and equipment project was inaugurated on Tuesday in the Khawlan area, Rural Hajjah District, on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday, with a budget exceeding $153,000. The initiative aims to bolster primary healthcare services in Yemen's Hajjah and Ibb governorates by including construction, furnishing, and providing medical equipment.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Director of the Health Office in Hajjah, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kuhlani, emphasized the project's significance as a progressive step for the district's health sector. He acknowledged the contributions of INTERSOS and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in financing and executing the project.

District Director Sadiq Wahban underscored the project's importance in delivering healthcare services to residents of Khawlan and surrounding areas, thereby alleviating their hardships.

Additionally, Dr. Allan Fadail noted that the project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services in the governorate, expressing appreciation for INTERSOS's efforts in implementing sustainable service projects.
