Dhalea: The Acting Governor of Dhalea, Abdul Latif Al-Shaghdari, alongside the Military Committee and the Chairman of the Board of the Yemeni News Agency SABA, Nasr Al-Din Amer, officially inaugurated the traffic movement on the Sana'a-Aden road via Dhalea, marking the end of a seven-year closure.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the inauguration, the Acting Governor emphasized the commitment to ensuring the movement of travelers and goods along the Sana'a-Dhalea-Aden route. He noted that the road had been open through Dhalea for over a year following directives from the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, and that today's event was a culmination of efforts to reopen this vital route.
Al-Shaghdari highlighted that the Dhalea road is the shortest and easiest path between Sana'a and Aden, alleviating the difficulties travelers faced during the closure. He expressed satisfaction in seeing citizens use the road, which had been reopened from their side the previous year, and mentioned that security measures are in place to ensure safety.
The Chairman of the Board of the Yemeni News Agency SABA noted that the reopening of the road is part of implementing leadership directives after receiving approval from the other party to open it from their side. He recalled an earlier attempt to open the road that faced resistance but welcomed the current cooperation from all parties involved.
Amer stressed the need for the other party to remove any remaining barriers to make the road fully operational for all vehicles, facilitating easier travel for citizens. He emphasized that reopening the road is a step towards enhancing communication among Yemenis.
Deputy Head of the Committee, Brigadier General Hussein Dhaif Allah, stated that the initiative to open the road reflects a genuine concern for easing citizens' hardships. The inauguration of traffic movement is seen as the fruition of leadership efforts.
Citizens expressed their gratitude to the leadership and local authorities for their roles in maintaining the road and removing obstacles. The event was attended by Dhalea's Deputy Governors, the Governorate's Police Director, and other security, military, and social figures.
