Taiz: The At Ta’iziyah Agricultural Cooperative Society in Taiz Governorate inaugurated the wheat harvest today in the Al-Shabaniyah Al-Ulya district of At Ta’iziyah. This event marks a significant step in the region’s agricultural development efforts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Director of the District, Abdul Khaliq Al-Junaid, confirmed the success of the wheat cultivation experiment. He emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in food production, highlighting the local authority’s readiness to provide necessary facilities to farmers.
The Secretary-General of the Society, Mazen Al-Hashemi, along with Executive Director Khaled Al-Hababi, underscored the Society’s role in offering ploughing and harvesting services at reduced rates to support local farmers. This initiative aims to bolster agricultural productivity and sustainability in the region.
Ahmed Al-Hamdani, Head of the Plowing Unit, announced the continuation of land preparation activities for the upcoming agricultural season, ensuring that the momentum gained from this harvest is maintained.
