The Yemeni Oil Company, in coordination with the Fisheries Ministry, the Fisheries Authority in the Red Sea, and the Tihama Coast Fish Cooperative Association, launched today, Saturday, work in the oil supply centers for fishermen in the areas of "Al-Salif - Al-Lahiya - Al-Nakhila in Al-Durayhimi - Al-Matinah in Al-Tuhaita".
At the inauguration in the Al-Salif Directorate, the Minister of Fisheries, Muhammad Al-Zubairi, explained that the project comes within the ministry's national strategy and its implementation plan, which directed the revolutionary, political leadership and the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee to implement it to alleviate the suffering of fishermen urgently who bear large costs to bring oil materials to their boats from far away.
While the governor of Hodeida, Muhammad Ayesh Qahim, indicated that the opening of the oil supply stations for fishermen comes within the axis of the directives of the revolution leader to take care of the fishermen. He noted the great role played by the leadership of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee for the agricultural and fish sectors.
The director of the oil company branch in Hodeida, Adnan Al-Jarmozi, stressed the importance of the project in providing fishermen's needs for oil derivatives through the establishment of special stations in the fish landing centers. That contributes to alleviating their suffering as a result of the aggression and blockade.
