Sana’a: The Information Ministry, along with its affiliated institutions, organized a speech and honorary event to commemorate the martyr anniversary 1446 AH, specifically honoring the families of media martyrs. The event highlighted the sacrifices made by media professionals who lost their lives while courageously covering conflicts in Yemen, showcasing their heroic efforts in confronting aggression forces.
According to Yemen News Agency, First Deputy Prime Minister Allama Mohammed Muftah paid tribute to the media martyrs, acknowledging their vital role in broadcasting the realities of the conflict. He emphasized the unique sacrifices made by the Yemeni people, akin to those made by the Palestinian and Lebanese communities, in defending their sovereignty and land. Muftah reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing the empowerment of martyrs’ families, recognizing their significant contributions to Yemen’s independence.
The event saw participation from key figures such as Information Minister Has
him Sharafuddin and Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti, who underscored the importance of remembering the martyrs to immortalize their heroism against US, Saudi, and Emirati aggression. Dr. Al-Bukhaiti called for unity among government and private media to counter the perceived threats from global forces, urging collective action against adversaries.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Bukhaiti expressed gratitude for the martyrs’ ultimate sacrifices, framing their actions as a divine struggle against enemies. He highlighted the steadfastness of martyrs’ families in supporting strategic decisions against perceived Zionist, American, and British threats, reinforcing their alignment with the revolutionary leadership in Yemen.
