Ibb: A joint committee consisting of representatives from the Presidency and the Prosecution, the Judicial Inspection Authority branch in Ibb Governorate, and the Committee for Handling Prison and Prisoner Cases inspected the conditions of prisoners at the governorate's reserve detention center.

According to Yemen News Agency, the visit included prominent figures such as the Head of the Appellate Prosecution Judge Abdulrahman Al-Nazili, the Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority branch Judge Ali Al-Omaisi, the Governorate Security Director Hadi Al-Kahlani, the Head of the Grievances Redress Authority branch Yahya Al-Qasimi, and the Director of Prison and Prisoner Affairs Nizar Amer. The committee conducted interviews with prisoners, reviewed files of insolvent inmates, matched deposit records with judicial rulings, and approved the conditional release of several prisoners.

The Head of the Prosecution explained that these field visits are part of ongoing joint efforts by the Prosecution and relevant authorities to maximize prisoner releases. These efforts are in line with directives from the Revolution Leader, the President of the Supreme Political Council, and the Public Prosecutor, coinciding with the celebration of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi).

He highlighted that methods such as pardons for remaining sentences, assistance to insolvent prisoners, and releases on bail pending investigation demonstrate the values of justice and mercy. These initiatives aim to offer prisoners an opportunity to reintegrate into society, alleviate their suffering and that of their families, while ensuring that rights and freedoms are upheld during this significant occasion.
