Baghdad: The Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, inspected the progress of educational and training activities at the Baghdad Industrial Technical Institute in the capital municipality today.
According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Al-Saadi, accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Secondary Education, Dr. Zaid Al-Haddour, observed the practical training of vocational high school students from Hayel School. This initiative is part of the Partnership and Twinning Program launched by the ministry as a first phase across three model schools and three vocational/technical institutes in the capital.
The minister and his delegation received a briefing from the institute's dean, Abdulrazzaq Qais, and his deputies on the training process, challenges, and proposed solutions. They confirmed that students from Hayel School's vocational track are undergoing hands-on training at the institute in computer technology and automotive mechanics.
Minister Al-Saadi praised this step, highlighting its success in launching the Vocational High School Program as a first phase in seven schools nationwide. The program offers specialized disciplines aligned with labor market needs, reflecting the ministry's strategy to establish specialized vocational secondary education. This approach aims to meet aspirations and produce skilled graduates capable of contributing to construction and development efforts.
