Inspection Reveals Challenges at Dialysis Center in Zabid District, Hodeidah

Zabid: The Director of the Health Office in the governorate, Dr. Ali Al-Haddad, yesterday inspected the operations of the Dialysis Center in Zabid District and the level of services provided to patients. Dr. Al-Haddad reviewed the conditions of patients undergoing dialysis sessions at the center and the healthcare they are receiving, despite the challenges facing the center's administration.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Haddad was briefed by the Director of the Center, Dr. Tareq Khazai, on the main challenges, which include a shortage of financial resources necessary to provide diesel for maintaining operations and running dialysis machines, and a lack of medical supplies and laboratory solutions. He also listened to a report on the center's capacity, which provides services to more than 120 patients from Zabid District and neighboring areas, as well as patients from Raymah and Dhamar governorates.

The Health Office Director praised the role of the center's administration and medical staff for their efforts in delivering essential care to patients, describing the center as a humanitarian example of resilience amid the current challenges. He stressed the Health Office leadership's commitment to following up on the needs of dialysis centers, given their vital importance in saving patients' lives.
