Tehran: Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Omid Shakeri confirmed that "Iran and Russia, within the framework of their energy cooperation, will not pay attention to the restoration of UN Security Council resolutions that include sanctions on Tehran." According to Yemen News Agency, Shakeri told Russia's Sputnik news agency on Friday, on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week forum, that "The Russian companies we held meetings with over the past two days did not discuss the snapback mechanism at all..." He indicated that continued cooperation was discussed without considering this mechanism. It is worth noting that the snapback mechanism stipulates the reimposition of international sanctions against Iran.
