Tehran: The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, reiterated today that his country harbors deep mistrust towards the United States, urging it to alter its behavior.
According to Yemen News Agency, during a meeting with the Chief of the Pakistani Army, General Asim Munir, Rezaei emphasized the need for the U.S. to take practical steps to implement the conditions outlined in the existing memorandum of understanding. He highlighted the necessity for Iran to assume responsibility for security management of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The Chief of the Pakistani Army, during the meeting, reviewed Pakistan’s committed efforts towards achieving the aims of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding. He affirmed the strong ties of brotherhood and friendship between Iran and Pakistan. Additionally, he noted Pakistan’s significant strides in bolstering security along the shared border with Iran.
