Issuance of August 2025 Salary Reinforcements Begins Under Exceptional Mechanism Law

General

Sana'a: The Ministries of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development have initiated the issuance of financial reinforcements for the August 2025 salaries to public service units covered by the monthly disbursement list. This move aligns with the State Employee Salary Provision Program, which is part of the Exceptional Mechanism Law for Providing State Employee Salaries and Repaying Small Depositors.

According to Yemen News Agency, a joint statement from the two ministries, which was received by the agency, detailed that the reinforcements were processed through the Ministry of Finance to the Central Bank of Yemen. Subsequently, the funds were directed to the General Postal Authority and the Cooperative Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank), following the lists issued by the Ministry of Civil Service.

The statement highlighted ongoing monitoring by the revolutionary and political leadership within the framework of the Government of Change and Construction's directives, based on available resources. It reaffirmed the government's commitment to the regular monthly disbursements as previously declared and in accordance with the Exceptional Mechanism Law.

Furthermore, the statement pointed out that the exceptional mechanism for providing salaries and repaying small depositors serves as an exceptional, temporary solution. It also stressed that this does not absolve the countries involved in the aggression against Yemen from their responsibility to pay salaries and compensation to all public service employees affected by these countries, which have control over oil and gas revenues that once funded the salary bill.
