Ithar Al-Khair Foundation Unveils Ninth Ramadan Charity Initiative

Sana'a: The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Obbad, today inaugurated the ninth Ramadan initiative organized by the Ithar Al-Khair Social Development Foundation, under the theme "Exhibition of the Leader Martyrs on the Road to Quds." This initiative aims to distribute Eid clothing to six thousand children and provide 500 food baskets to the most vulnerable families. The project is part of the Foundation's efforts during Ramadan to ease the burdens of needy families and bring joy to children as Eid al-Fitr approaches.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Mayor emphasized the significance of such charitable projects in promoting social solidarity and supporting families in dire situations due to the ongoing challenges in Yemen. Dr. Obbad commended the Foundation for its dedication to addressing the needs of impoverished families and its consistent efforts in community development.

First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, highlighted that these charitable initiatives are crucial for assisting the poor and needy. He noted the positive effects of the exhibition and food baskets in easing the difficulties faced by these families and bringing happiness to children during Eid. Al-Madani called for collective efforts to support these vulnerable groups, stressing the shared responsibility.

The launch event was attended by various officials, including the Head of the Social Affairs Committee, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, and the Undersecretary for the Financial Sector, Mazen Nu'man. Emad Ma'ayad, President of the Foundation, stated that the initiative targets disadvantaged children and families, reinforcing the Foundation's commitment to humanitarian work.

Ma'ayad acknowledged the philanthropists contributing to the initiative, emphasizing that this project results from community collaboration. The event also featured choral and poetic performances celebrating the occasion.
