Sana'a: The General Department of Cultural and Social Activities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports organized a sightseeing trip on Thursday for the delegation of Ittihad Seiyun Club from Hadhramaut, currently participating in the Republic Cup Championship, to the renowned historical and archaeological landmark of Dar Al-Hajar in Wadi Dhahr, on the outskirts of Sana'a.
According to Yemen News Agency, members of the delegation toured the palace's halls and historic facilities, receiving an overview of its construction history and unique architectural features that reflect the ingenuity and creativity of the Yemeni people throughout the ages. They also took commemorative photographs to mark the visit.
Director of Cultural and Social Activities at the Ministry, Dr. Mohammed Haj, said the trip was part of the ministry's efforts to support young people and athletes from various governorates, strengthening their connection to Yemen's historical and cultural heritage. He emphasized the importance of organizing cultural and social activities alongside sporting events to promote friendship and closer ties among Yemeni youth.
Members of the administrative and sports delegation of Ittihad Seiyun Club expressed their appreciation for the initiative and the opportunity to visit one of Yemen's most prominent architectural and historical landmarks. They also praised the warm reception, organization, and ongoing efforts aimed at supporting athletes and developing their abilities across various fields and activities.
