He pointed out that the natural diversity that characterizes Hodeida's coastline, along with the efforts made to develop the Corniche, has contributed to creating an attractive environment for domestic tourism. Basha noted that the office organized the "Eid in Tihama" festival in conjunction with efforts aimed at improving the level of tourism services, which contributes to enhancing the visitor experience and strengthening the sustainability of tourism activity throughout the year.
Regarding infrastructure, the head of the Public Works Department in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed Muthanna, confirmed that the Corniche expansion projects implemented in recent periods came in response to the increasing number of visitors. He indicated that the work included expanding pedestrian areas and improving public facilities.
He explained that work is ongoing on the third phase of the Corniche project, which includes completing rehabilitation and development work to ensure the site's efficiency and accommodate the increasing number of visitors, according to well-thought-out plans that take into account aesthetic and service aspects.
Regarding cleanliness and beautification, the Executive Director of the Governorate's Cleaning and Improvement Fund, Abdul Nasser al-Sharif, explained that cleaning teams carried out intensive, round-the-clock campaigns during the Eid holidays to ensure the Corniche's cleanliness and the continuity of services. He pointed out that sanitation workers are making great efforts to remove waste promptly, despite the large number of visitors, emphasizing that the Fund operates according to a special seasonal emergency plan aimed at providing a clean and safe environment befitting visitors to Hodeida.
The commercial activity, markets, and popular restaurants surrounding the Corniche witnessed a significant boom, which boosted the local economy and opened up broad horizons for commercial activity related to the Eid season, amid satisfaction from both visitors and residents.
