Ibb: A Ramadan evening was organized in Ibb Province with key figures including the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Mujahid Abdullah, Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah, and the head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Dr. Marwan Al-Mahakri. This event was part of a Ramadan program aimed at reinforcing the faith identity and enhancing the judicial system and local authority’s support for Palestinians.
According to Yemen News Agency, the gathering included prominent figures such as Judge Ahmed Al-Kahlani, head of the financial and administrative affairs sector at the Justice Ministry, as well as the province’s first deputy governor, Abdul Hamid Al-Shahiri, and deputies Sadiq Hamza, Jamal Al-Humairi, and Abdul Rahman Al-Zakari. Also present were military and judicial leaders, including Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Khaled and heads of appeal divisions, courts of first instance, and public mobilization officials. The attendees endorsed the decision by Yemeni armed forces to reinstate the ban on Israeli ships following the expiration of the deadline set by Revolution Leader Sayyid Abdul Malik Badr al-Din Al-Houthi to lift the naval blockade.
They viewed the naval ban as a legitimate response to the blockade imposed on Gaza and the continued prevention of relief and medical aid. The attendees expressed their support for the positions of the revolution leader and their readiness to support the Palestinians and their resistance.
During the event, the Justice Minister encouraged judges and judicial workers to participate in training courses with the General Mobilization Forces. He emphasized the importance of coordination between the local authority and the justice system to achieve justice and social peace.
Governor Salah reiterated the province’s support for the leadership against the American and Zionist adversaries and praised the decision to ban Israeli ships in support of the people in the Gaza Strip. He highlighted the leadership’s role in empowering the Yemenis.
Dr. Al-Mahakri outlined that the visit aimed to assess the judiciary’s conditions, gather insights into judicial work, and address issues related to dispute resolution and rights protection. He commended the achievements of Ibb’s courts despite challenges and acknowledged the participation of judges in mobilization courses.
The participants emphasized the need to create suitable conditions for judges to fulfill their duties and improve the work environment within the courts by providing necessary technical resources.
