Lahj: The local authority in Lahj governorate organized a cultural event in al-Qabaita district to commemorate the Day of Wal-ilayah ("Eid al-Ghadir"), under the slogan "Whoever I am his master, this Ali is his master."
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Province undersecretary Faisal al-Faqih and other officials. It emphasized the importance of commemorating al-Wilayah by pledging allegiance to God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali, while disavowing their enemies.
Speeches during the event stressed the need to emulate the Prophet's directive at Ghadir, adhere to divinely commanded allegiances, and resist enemy falsehoods. The historical significance of the Day of al-Wilayah was highlighted, focusing on strengthening the alliance to support the oppressed, particularly the people of Gaza and Palestine, and confronting "global arrogance," including Israel, America, and their allies. The event also celebrated the deep connection Yemenis have to Imam Ali.
