Al-bayda: The Education Sector in Al-Bayda Governorate launched today the agricultural activities project for general education schools for the academic year 1448 AH, as part of the cultural and skills program in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project aims to plant 21,000 seedlings in schools across 21 districts, including fruit trees, ornamental trees, and shade trees. The initiative is supervised by 331 supervisors, with the goal of creating an agricultural environment that starts from the school.
During the launch, attended by the Director of Al-Bayda City Ahmed Al-Rasas, the head of the agricultural sector Engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, the Deputy Head of the Education Sector Fadhl Al-Hamiqani, and education sector staff, speeches highlighted that the launch of the student agricultural activity, implemented by the Education Sector in partnership with the agricultural sector, comes within the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, emphasizing the importance of agricultural development and afforestation.
They affirmed the importance of implementing the afforestation project and agricultural activities to strengthen the connection of the younger generation to the land and agriculture, entrench a culture of production and environmental protection, and help build a generation that participates in shaping the future of a free and independent Yemen.
The speeches also emphasized the importance of developing agricultural and environmental awareness among male and female students, contributing to community involvement in achieving food security through expanding green spaces.
