Al hodeidah: First Deputy Governor of Al Hodeidah, Ahmed Al-Bashri, inaugurated health awareness, agricultural guidance, and rural development campaigns, alongside an agricultural land reclamation project in Bab Al-Naqa area of Al-Damer subdistrict in Bajil. These initiatives are part of efforts to strengthen food security and rural development in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the implemented activities, organized by the Bajil Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society in coordination with the local health office and authorities, included health awareness programs for volunteers on epidemic diseases, rural development and community guidance on dairy production, and the reclamation of several neglected agricultural lands. These efforts aim to support agricultural production and enhance income sources for productive families.
Al-Bashri praised the association's work in health awareness, community service, food processing, dairy production, and the development of agriculture and livestock. He emphasized the governorate leadership's support for productive projects that create employment and meet local market needs.
Abdul Munim Al-Rifai, Director of Bajil District, highlighted the importance of coordination between health, agricultural, and development sectors to positively impact communities, especially in rural and farming areas.
Dr. Mehran Al-Hasani, Director of the District Health Office, commended the role of volunteers in delivering health awareness messages to households and the community, as well as the association's efforts in promoting community initiatives.
Adel Sam, President of the Bajil Agricultural Cooperative Society, stated that the association seeks to empower productive families and integrate health awareness with local food production as part of its rural development programs to enhance self-sufficiency.
Al-Bashri also visited the cooperative's dairy laboratory, reviewing production lines and manufacturing processes, emphasizing the importance of expanding such productive projects in rural districts.
