Launch of Basic Certificate Examinations in Al-Mahwit: A Step Towards Educational Resilience

Al-mahwit: The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Al-Mahwit Governorate, Dr. Ali Al-Zaykom, alongside the Governorate's General Mobilization Officer, Ismail Sharaf Al-Din, inaugurated the General Basic Certificate Examinations for the year 1447 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Zaykom and Sharaf Al-Din, accompanied by the Governorate Security Director, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Tawous, visited examination centers at Aisha Girls School and Al-Sanwar in Al-Madina Directorate. During their visit, they received updates from the center staff on the progress of the exams and the procedures followed per the regulations set by the Higher Examination Committee.

Both Dr. Al-Zaykom and Sharaf Al-Din expressed satisfaction with the adherence to the examination regulations. They noted the well-prepared arrangements and facilities, which reflect a strong commitment to ensuring the success of this national task with discipline and transparency.

They emphasized the importance of the exam automation system as a significant advancement in the educational process. This system aids in providing accuracy and speed in grading answer sheets, recording scores, and announcing results, thereby promoting transparency and fairness among students.

Furthermore, they highlighted that the continuation of exams despite the ongoing siege and aggression showcases the determination and resilience of the students. It also reflects the dedication of educational staff in fulfilling their teaching mission despite the challenges faced.

The Governorate's Education Sector Officer, Ibrahim Al-Zain, mentioned that 8,280 students are registered for the Basic Certificate Examinations. These students are distributed across 119 examination centers throughout the governorate. The exams are supervised by 782 educational staff across the directorates, ensuring an organized and secure examination process.
