Ma'ain: The General Mobilization in Ma'ain and Al-Safiyah districts of the Capital Secretariat launched today the activities commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), under the slogan "Abasement is beneath us."

According to Yemen News Agency, cultural events were held in the neighborhoods of Al-Sunainah Al-Shamaliyah, Asr, Shamelan Al-Gharbi, Al-Da'iri, and Al-Sunainah Al-Janubiyah in Ma'ain District, as well as in the neighborhoods of Al-Tadamun, Al-Fath, Ausan, and Al-Thawra in Al-Safiyah District.

Speeches delivered at the events pointed to the importance of commemorating the Ashura anniversary to derive lessons and morals in confronting tyrants and the arrogant, affirming that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) sacrificed his life to elevate the word of God, distinguish between truth and falsehood, and fight against oppressors.

They explained that Imam Hussein does not belong to a single sect or denomination, but is a symbol for all of humanity, and that speaking of Karbala, the suffering of the Yemeni people is an extension of the suffering of Karbala, which requires steadfastness and resilience in confronting the forces of aggression and occupation and foiling their schemes.

The speeches emphasized the nation's need today to draw from the biography and path of Imam Hussein in supporting truth, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and adhering to his values, morals, and sacrifices in confronting the forces of invasion and occupation.

The events were attended by leaders, social figures, dignitaries, tribal chiefs, and crowds from the residents of the neighborhoods in Ma'ain and Al-Safiyah districts.
