Launch of Construction Work on Fence for Damt Volcanic Crater

Al-dhale': The directors of Damt District in Al-Dhale' Governorate, Sultan Fadel, and Al-Sha'ar District in Ibb Governorate, Ashraf Al-Salahi, inaugurated the construction of a protective fence around the Harra of the Damt volcanic crater. The project, which costs 18 million riyals, is funded by businessman Mortada Al-Muntaser from Al-Sha'ar District.

According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was attended by various officials including the directors of the Finance Office Adnan Al-Jabri, Public Works Hamdi Al-Hadi, Economy Amin Jameel, and Tourism Abduljabbar Al-Darsi. The Director of Damt District emphasized that fencing the volcanic crater is an essential safety measure as directed by the acting governor of Al-Dhale'.

The Director of Damt District praised the initiative taken by businessman Al-Muntaser, highlighting its importance in supporting tourism-related work and preventing incidents like the one involving Al-Qaqa bin Antar.

Al-Salahi, the Director of Al-Sha'ar District, expressed that charitable initiatives between the districts of Al-Dhale' and Ibb could lead to more joint community-driven projects. He encouraged other businesspeople and expatriates from both governorates to emulate Al-Muntaser's contributions to various development projects, particularly during the country's ongoing challenges.
