Sana'a: The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor launched on Thursday the Eid sacrificial meat distribution project for the year 1447 AH. The project targets more than 23,000 of the poorest and most needy families in the Capital Secretariat and several governorates on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, explained that the project is being implemented by the ministry in cooperation and coordination with various humanitarian partners from government agencies and international and local organizations. He emphasized the significance of these humanitarian projects in mitigating the hardships faced by impoverished families, particularly amidst the ongoing aggression and blockade. Al-Hamli affirmed the need for continued support and attention towards charity projects by donor entities.
Furthermore, the head of the ministry's sacrificial meat committee, Naji Azman, detailed that this year's sacrificial meat project will cover seven governorates: the Capital Secretariat, and the governorates of Sana'a, Amran, Hodeidah, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, and Dhamar. He commended the contributions of donors in supporting charity endeavors targeting impoverished families, care centers, orphanages, and others. Azman also noted that the project teams have developed a comprehensive plan to ensure the distribution of sacrificial meat to beneficiaries during the days of Tashreeq, maintaining the highest possible quality in line with the ministry's leadership directives.
