Hajjah: Yemen Nama Development Foundation, in cooperation with the local authority in Hajjah Governorate, launched on Saturday the distribution of 8,000 food baskets to poor and needy families in the governorate center and its districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch event at the governorate center, Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Akhfash described the holy month of Ramadan as a spiritual season in which acts of worship, charity, and good deeds increase, and when Muslims compete in drawing closer to Allah through obedience, generosity, and kindness. He stressed the importance of making the most of its blessings.
He called on merchants, philanthropists, and community initiatives to strengthen the principles of solidarity and compassion within society.
Meanwhile, the Mobilization Official in the governorate center, Abdulqader Al-Qadhi, highlighted the importance of distributing assistance as a reflection of social solidarity and a contribution to alleviating the suffering of poor families.
For their part, representatives of the foundation explained that the humanitarian initiative comes as part of the foundation's activities aimed at extending support to poor and needy families, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
