Sana’a: The fourth general Quran competition for students of Yemeni universities and community colleges was launched today in Sana’a. The event, organized by the Higher Education Sector in partnership with 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences, brings together 125 male and female students from 26 governmental and private universities and community colleges from the capital and various governorates. The competition is set to last for five days.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competition aims to encourage students to memorize, recite, and contemplate the Book of God and act upon it. It seeks to enhance Quranic culture and faith-based education among the participants. Students will compete in categories including the complete Quran, twenty parts, ten parts, and five parts. Winners of the top positions will be honored with cash prizes, shields, and certificates of appreciation.
