Launch of Hail Saeed Anam Ramadan Clubs Tournament in Hodeidah

Hodeidah: The competitions of the Hail Saeed Anam Group Ramadan Clubs Tournament for football in the youth and junior categories kicked off on Friday evening in Hodeidah city, organized by the Yemeni Football Association branch in the governorate.



According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament will continue until the 20th of Ramadan, under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the leadership of the local authority, and the Office of Youth and Sports. Supported by Hail Saeed Anam Group and Partners, the event features participation from 21 clubs in the men’s category and 13 clubs in the junior category. The competitions are structured in a group stage system.



The opening match, hosted by Al-Alfi Stadium, saw Al-Ahli Hodeidah team secure a decisive victory over Shabab Al-Durayhimi, finishing with a score of five goals to one. The game was attended by notable figures including Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi, Director of the Office of Youth and Sports in the governorate Emad Al-Bara’i, and the supervisor of Hail Saeed Anam companies in the Hodeidah sector Marwan Abdulda’im.



The match officiating team comprised field referee Hani Al-Wasabi, assisted by Marshad Jazilan and Abdulqader Al-Nahari, with Abdullah Al-Huraifi serving as the fourth official. The tournament’s official inauguration was marked by the presence of the Secretary-General of the Football Association branch Ahmed Al-Rajawi, Secretary-General of Al-Mina Club Hassan Rasmi, along with various members of the Association branch, personalities, and sports leaders.
