Sana'a: The Health and Environment Office in Al-Hisn District, Sana'a Governorate, in cooperation with the education sector, launched a school health awareness program in the district's schools.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, Dr. Halima Al-Jahdari, the awareness officer at the Health Office, emphasized the importance of such programs in promoting community awareness about communicable diseases. She pointed to the role of schools and teachers in educating students and the school community about these diseases, their prevention, and limiting their spread.
For his part, Nasser Muhaddad, Head of the School Health Department, indicated the importance of incorporating health and awareness aspects into the school curriculum to promote prevention among students and encourage them to share this knowledge with their families and the community.
The launch was attended by school principals and a number of educational staff and health supervisors.
