Launch of Imam Hussein Martyrdom Commemoration Activities in Eastern Districts of Hodeidah

Hodeidah: Local authorities and mobilization officials in the eastern districts of Hodeidah Governorate launched activities on Monday in Bajil District to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) under the slogan, 'Never to Humiliation.'

According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Bajil District Director Abdulmunem Al-Rifa'i reviewed the noble life of Imam Hussein and the values of justice, dignity, and steadfastness he embodied in confronting oppression and deviation. Al-Rifa'i stressed the importance of drawing inspiration from these principles in the life of the nation.

In a speech on behalf of religious scholars, Mohammed Al-Shar'i highlighted the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip. He described Imam Hussein's path as a beacon for oppressed peoples confronting arrogance and domination.

For his part, Hassan Salem, speaking on behalf of preachers, emphasized the importance of raising awareness of the lessons of the Battle of Karbala. He noted its role in reviving collective conscience, strengthening solidarity, social cohesion, and linking the Ashura legacy to contemporary challenges and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Ma'afa stressed the importance of promoting the authentic Muhammadan values exemplified by Imam Hussein through his conduct and struggle. He called for greater cultural and social awareness of such unifying occasions.
